TTYD Mobile
Description
A fork of ttyd, the web-based terminal sharing tool, made usable from a phone or tablet. The web client gets a built-in soft keyboard and a set of touch-friendly helpers while everything ttyd already does stays intact.
What changed
- A full on-screen keyboard with every key of a standard US QWERTY layout, and a sideways-scrolling top row holding the arrow keys and F1 to F24.
- The keyboard is built into the page, iPhone style, so the system keyboard never pops in and out and no extra input row eats the screen.
- A SEL key switches into a selection mode for picking text off the screen by touch.
- Shortcuts for copy, paste and sending SIGINT.
- Clipboard goes through the host system, so copy and paste keep working even
over plain
http://ip:port. - Works as a web app: added to the home screen it hides the browser chrome, with a black bar for dark mode.
Running it
Same command line as ttyd: ttyd [options] <command>, with the usual port,
credential, SSL, read-only versus writable, and reverse-proxy options. Initial
mobile work by Abraham Willem Hersubagyo; original ttyd by Shuanglei Tao.
