Mute Tabs for Firefox

A simple Firefox add-on that mutes and unmutes by website instead of by tab — the way Chromium's mute works. Right-click an open tab and hit mute: every current and future tab on that domain stays muted until you say otherwise.

Click the add-on's toolbar icon to see the list of muted websites and unmute any of them directly. There's a keyboard shortcut too: Ctrl+Alt+M.

Install it from addons.mozilla.org.

Recent versions fixed a hole where a muted tab stayed muted after navigating to a different site in the same tab, and reworked the icon for dark themes. Based on original work by pkrasicki.
